Both are recipients of the U23 World Cup gold and collective bronze medals, amongst other awards and victories. Das Bootshaus on the Old Danube offers us the unique opportunity to combine two great passions: rowing and hosting.

5. Newsletter subscription
On the website of IB Querfeld’s Cafe Wien GmbH, the users are given the opportunity to subscribe to the newsletter of our company. The personal data that are transmitted to the controller upon subscribing, results from the input mask used for this purpose.
IB Querfeld’s Cafe Wien GmbH informs its customers and business partners about company offers at regular intervals by means of a newsletter. The company newsletter can only be received by the data subject if (1) the data subject has a valid e-mail address and (2) the data subject registers for the newsletter. For legal reasons, a confirmation e-mail will be sent first to the e-mail address entered by the data subject using the Double opt-in procedure. 6. Newsletter tracking
The IB Querfeld’s Cafe Wien GmbH newsletter contains so-called tracking pixels. A tracking pixel is a miniature graphic that is embedded in e-mails that are sent in HTML format to enable log file recording and log file analysis. 7. Contact possibilities via the website
Due to legal regulations, the IB Querfeld’s Cafe Wien GmbH website contains information that enables quick electronic contact with our company as well as direct communication with us, which also includes a general electronic mail address (e-mail address). b) Right of access
The data subject shall have the right, as granted by die European legislator, to obtain information, free of charge, from the controller on the personal data stored about him or her and to receive a copy of that information. Furthermore, the European legislator grants the data subject access to the following information:
the processing purposes
 the categories of personal data being processed 


• the recipients or categories of recipients to whom the personal data have been or will be disclosed, in particular to recipients in third countries (non-member states) or to international organizations 


• where possible, the planned duration for which the personal data will be stored or, if not possible, the criteria used to determine that period


• the existence of the right to request rectification from the controller or erasure of personal data or the restriction of processing of personal data concerning the data subject or to object to such processing

c) Right to rectification
The data subject shall have the right, granted by the European legislator, to demand the immediate rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning him or her. Considering the purposes of the processing, the data subject has the right to request the completion of incomplete personal data, including by means of a supplementary statement.
If a data subject wishes to exercise this right to rectification, he or she may, at any time, contact an employee of the controller.



d) Right to erasure (´Right to be forgotten`)
The data subject shall have the right, granted by the European legislator, to require from the controller the immediate erasure of personal data concerning him or her, provided that one of the following reasons applies and processing is not needed:
• The personal data are no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which they were collected or otherwise processed.
• The data subject withdraws his or her consent, on which the processing was based, in accordance with point (a) of Article 6 (1) of the GDPR or point (a) of Article 9 (2) of the GDPR, and where there is no other legal ground for the processing.
• The data subject objects to the processing pursuant to Article 21 (1) of the GDPR and there are no overriding legitimate grounds for the processing, or the data subject objects to the processing pursuant to Article 21 (2) of the GDPR.
• The personal data were processed unlawfully.
• The erasure of personal data is required for compliance with a legal obligation under Union law or Member State law to which the controller is subject.
• The personal data were collected in relation to the offer of information society services referred to in Article (1) of the GDPR.
If one of the abovementioned reasons applies, and a data subject wishes to request the erasure of personal data stored by IB Querfeld’s Cafe Wien GmbH, he or she may contact an employee of the controller at any time. An employee of IB Querfeld’s Cafe Wien GmbH will promptly ensure that the erasure request is complied with immediately.
If the personal data have been made public by IB Querfeld’s Cafe Wien GmbH, our company is responsible for erasing personal data as referred to in Article 17 (1) of the GDPR. Considering the available technology and the implementation costs, IB Querfeld’s Cafe Wien GmbH will take appropriate measures, including technical measures, to inform other controllers processing the personal data that the data subject has requested erasure from all other controllers of any links to, or copies, or replications of such personal data, as far as processing is not required. If one of the abovementioned conditions is met, and a data subject wishes to request the restriction of the processing of personal data stored by IB Querfeld’s Cafe Wien GmbH, he or she may at any time contact an employee of the controller. The employee of IB Querfeld’s Cafe Wien GmbH will arrange the restriction of the processing.



f) Right to data portability
The data subject shall have the right, granted by the European legislator, to receive the personal data concerning him or her, which was provided to a controller, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. To assert the right to data portability, the data subject can contact an employee of IB Querfeld’s Cafe Wien GmbH at any time.



g) Right to object
The data subject shall have the right, granted by the European legislator, to object at any time, on grounds relating to his or her particular situation, to the processing of personal data concerning him or her, which is based on point (e) or (f) of Article 6 (1) of the GDPR. This also applies to profiling based on these provisions.
IB Querfeld’s Cafe Wien GmbH will no longer process the personal data in the event of an objection, unless we can prove compelling legitimate reasons for the processing that outweigh the interests, rights and freedom of the data subject, or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.

12. Legal basis of processing
Point (a) of Article 6 (1) of the GDPR serves as the legal basis for processing operations for which we obtain consent for a specific processing purpose. If the processing of personal data is necessary for the fulfillment of a contract to which the data subject is party, as is the case, for example, when processing operations are necessary for the supply of goods or to provide any other service, the processing is based on point (b) of Article 6 (1) of the GDPR. The same applies to processing operations that are necessary for carrying out pre-contractual measures, for example in the case of inquiries regarding our products or services. If our company is subject to a legal obligation which requires the processing of personal data, such as for the fulfillment of tax obligations, the processing is based on point (c) of Article 6 (1) of the GDPR. The criteria used to determine the period of storage of personal data is the respective statutory retention period. After the expiration of the period, the corresponding data will be routinely erased, as long as it is no longer required to fulfill or initiate a contract.

We clarify that the provision of personal data is partly required by law (e.g. tax regulations) or may result from contractual provisions (e.g. details of the contractual partner). Why a beach?

Our "beach" next to our terrace is an homage to the allotment garden colony "Neu Brasilien", which was founded by Florian Berndl in 1904. The inspiration for the name came from the extensive white beach at that time.
